nurturing artists
through creative spaces.
about
Bonfire Arts Collective is a nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing artists and communities by creating dedicated music spaces that attract creative talent, spur economic growth, and strengthen neighbourhood connections.
-
We design, build, and operate professional music studios and creative community hubs
Create and run “plug and play” music room solutions for rental buildings, condos, and vacant properties
Developing artist residencies, hosting and supporting community events like workshops, seminars, live showcases and networking events
Providing inclusive and equitable access to music spaces and programming
Partnering and collaborating with community organizations, arts institutions, developers, and government to ensure the many cross sections of Canadian diversity in arts, music, and culture can benefit from these initiatives.
-
Music and artistic spaces must be prioritized in urban development
Musical placemaking for families, children, and professional musicians to practice, learn, and grow.
Creative spaces are the backbone of vibrant, connected communities. Without them, culture fades and communities lose places to gather.
As rents rise and venues close, artists are being displaced - threatening the cultural fabric of our city.
For communities to thrive - socially, culturally, and economically - we need accessible, sustainable music spaces.
-
With over 25 years of industry experience building music and media production hubs, we’ve built a trusted network of artists, producers, and industry leaders who believe that access to space is essential for artistic growth and vibrant communities.
Our focus on inclusive operations and community-driven initiatives positions us as a leader in fostering creative communities.
Our projects include Universal Music Canada’s 80A Studios, The Root Down Studio, Pine Island Retreat, Soleil Sound, The Hive, Bedtracks, and relief projects like Musictogether and 33dot3.

IMPACT AREAS
-
PINE ISLAND
Nature-Connected Retreats
Pine Island Retreat combines professional recording with the restorative power of nature, creating a unique space where creativity is fueled by environmental connection.
-
Muse Room
Music Room Amenities
People want more than a gym in their buildings. We are working with developers to build versatile, “plug & play” music rooms in student housing, rentals, condos, offices, and vacant buildings.
Integrating music spaces into developments responds to a real and growing demand for creative spaces—and directly supports the needs, passions, and well-being of future residents and their community.
-
THE ROOT DOWN
Urban Creative Hubs
Our Root Down Studio in Geary Avenue anchors the neighborhood's cultural revival, hosting emerging artists and community events. The studio's presence has helped transform the area into a recognized creative district.
